Red grape 🇩🇪 Geisenheim, Germany

Rondo

/ RON-doh / · Also known as Gm 6494/5

A true Nordic red — deep colour, dark cherries and fresh acidity.

Rondo is a modern crossing bred for cool climates. It ripens early, handles frost well and gives deep colour even in short northern summers — which is why it has become one of the most planted red grapes in Denmark and Sweden. Expect dark berry fruit, fresh acidity and soft tannins.
