White grape 🇮🇹 Central Italy

Trebbiano

/ treb-bee-AH-noh / · Also known as Ugni Blanc, Trebbiano Toscano, Procanico

Light, crisp and uncomplicated — lemon and a hint of almond.

Trebbiano Toscano is one of the most planted white grapes in the world. In Italy it makes light, fresh, neutral whites and is used in Vin Santo; in France, as Ugni Blanc, it's mostly distilled into Cognac and Armagnac. Note that Trebbiano d'Abruzzo is made from a different, richer variety that shares the name.
