Full, round and nutty — pear, almond and honey that deepen with age.
Marsanne is the main white grape of Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage and Saint-Joseph, usually blended with the more aromatic Roussanne. It gives full-bodied, low-acid whites with a rich, almost oily texture. Young it's subtle and nutty; after years in bottle it becomes wonderfully honeyed and complex.
