White grape 🇮🇹 Campania, Italy

Fiano

/ fee-AH-noh /

Southern Italy's most serious white — honey, hazelnut and a smoky finish.

Fiano has been grown in Campania since Roman times. Fiano di Avellino, from cool hills inland, is textured and aromatic with notes of pear, honey and hazelnut, plus a smoky mineral edge. Unusually for a white, it gains complexity over several years in bottle.
