Austria's signature white — zesty citrus with a twist of white pepper.
Grüner Veltliner covers about a third of Austria's vineyards. Most versions are fresh, zesty and peppery, perfect as an everyday white; single-vineyard wines from the Wachau, Kamptal and Kremstal are richer and can age for many years. Look for the ‘Pfefferl’ — its white-pepper signature.
