Sauvignon Blanc

/ so-vee-NYOHN BLAHN / · Also known as Fumé Blanc, Blanc Fumé, Muskat-Silvaner

Crisp, zesty and green — citrus, gooseberry and freshly cut grass.

Sauvignon Blanc is instantly recognisable: high acidity and pungent aromas ranging from grapefruit and gooseberry to passion fruit and cut grass. In Sancerre it is flinty and restrained; in New Zealand's Marlborough it's explosive and tropical. In Bordeaux it is blended with Sémillon.
